What makes a perfect air purifier?

The ultimate goal of an air purifier is to improve your quality of life and help you to live longer by removing all harmful substances in the air that you breathe. Indoor air contains many gases and particles that may cause harm to humans, both in the short and long term. While modern technology isn't perfect, if applied properly it can be very, very close. With activated carbon, thousands of dangerous gases can be removed from the air. A Medical Grade HEPA filter is 99.97% efficient at trapping particles that are 0.3 microns in size-this includes dust, mold spores, and, pollens, bacteria and viruses. UV light can neutralize airborne biological threats like viruses, bacteria and mold. We haven't achieved perfection, but with the proper installation and use of these three filtration technologies, the air you are breathing will be healthy and clean.

Air Purifier Myths and Facts

Myth: Our air purifiers are circular because that is the shape of the filter.
Fact: The circular design was created to maximize the air flow. In units that do not use circular design, air may get trapped in the corners, and this is not optimal. Because of this, our filters were designed specifically to fit in our circular purifiers, not the other way around. Also, there is nothing in nature that is square!

Myth: To achieve the cleanest air, you should keep your fan blowing at the highest possible speed.
Fact: The longer that the air sits in the carbon filter, the more odors and gases are adsorbed. The time that the air remains in the carbon filter is called "dwell time". This is why we suggest using your fan at the highest speed only for certain applications, such as to remove dust or for allergy relief.

Myth: Our units have metal housing to improve their appearance
Fact: Actually, our units are made of metal for 2 purposes. First, plastics "off-gas", or release gases, and metal units do not. When air passes by the plastic housing, gases are released into the air that may cause immediate discomfort in people with chemical sensitivities and may also be harmful to everyone over the long term. In our opinion, it doesn't make sense to have an air purifier that is adding more pollutants to the air. Second, the metal housing (as well as the overall design) makes our air purifiers extremely durable.

Myth: Air purifiers are only for people with bad allergies and asthma
Fact: Recent studies have shown that poor indoor air quality may in fact be a cause of asthma. Also, research points to a connection between SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) and an elevated level of several airborne gases. Thus an air purifier isn't just for people with preexisting conditions; air purifiers can help to prevent the development of asthma and can benefit the health of newborns.

A growing belief amongst air quality experts is that even small amounts of toxic chemicals that are below the government-recommended levels can make people sick in the long run. At AllerAir we believe that this prolonged exposure is a concern for everyone and it is the main reason why air purifiers are not just for people with allergies or asthma.

Trusted all over the world for quality and innovation

AllerAir air purifiers can be found in use across the globe; in fact, the largest unit we have ever manufactured are installed in the Prada manufacturing factory in Italy! When companies are looking for a solution to their indoor air quality concerns, they often turn to us because we manufacture all of our products, residential and industrial, in-house. This gives us the flexibility to create solutions suited to individual needs.

Safety Measures Build Trust

An employer who goes out of his or her way to implement the best possible safety measures will earn the employees' trust. When it comes to employee safety, finding the healthiest solution is not only a way to protect yourself; it can also lead to increased job satisfaction and productivity. At AllerAir, we provide products tailored for the health of employees in specific industries. For example, when we were asked what we could create for drivers who are moving products in an environment with toxic particles and gases, we created the AirCarbon Cab Protector to filter the air in an enclosed cab forklift or truck. It is in a company's best interest to keep their employees safe, and we can provide a solution customized for almost any job or environment.

Allergy and Asthma sufferers rejoice!

Now you can take another measure in keeping your allergies and asthma in check. By removing airborne pollens, dust, mold, pet dander and thousands of other particles and gases, you can exert a higher level of control over the irritants that cause your allergies and asthma to flare up. The best way to manage an allergy is to avoid the allergen that makes you symptomatic, and AllerAir purifiers, with Activated Carbon and HEPA filters, is a tool you can use to regulate the air you breathe.

Better Indoor Air = Better Productivity

By removing allergens from the air, AllerAir products give students and employees one less thing to concern themselves with. Students can concentrate better and the employees in your office can work harder without having to worry about dealing with stuffy noses, dry throats, and many of the other symptoms of allergies. Furthermore, some people have very dire reactions to certain chemicals in the air, causing headaches, fatigue, and a myriad of other symptoms that can make it hard to study and work. Improving the indoor air quality of your school or business can help to reduce absenteeism. AllerAir purifiers help you to create a better learning environment for your children and a more productive work environment for your employees.

Only Safe, Proven Technology

One thing we hold as being extremely important to our company is that there is no controversy about the safety of our products. Carbon filtration is a proven technology; the same carbon filtration technology is used in military gas masks. In fact, it is such a harmless substance that you can eat it without any adverse effect. HEPA was developed by the Atomic Energy Commission to filter radioactive particles, and is used in medical clean rooms. The HEPA filter is the industry standard when it comes to particle filtration. The UV bulb equipped in some of our models is kept inside the units' metal housing, and the only victims of bulb's UV rays are bacteria, mold, and viruses that are filtered through the air purifier.

Warranty

A client once told us that our units are built like tanks, and we tend to agree. With an American-made motor and a strong metal housing, we know that our units last. Because the air is pulled in from underneath the unit, there are no fragile parts exposed. Our warranty exists to help you to understand what we already know: our units are made to last. If you are looking for the most durable product in the industry that also happens to have the best warranty available, you will want to consider an AllerAir air purifier.
